I had a severe medical event caused by the hospital in Orlando Fl. I was admitted due to a blood clot in artery leading to my bowel. Long story short... They gave me an anticoagulant that I was allergic to. My rare allergy caused H.I.T.T. ( Heparin induced thrombocytopenia) This incident has resulted in my permanent disability. I lost most of my small intestine which has caused severe malabsorption issues. The list of complications from this happening are endless. I have had such a hard time finding a doctor 1 thats familiar with H.I.T.T. and 2 that will listen to me. I've been denied care at other pain management facilities. I had to move here in 2017 to be closer to my family for help. Dr Marsella is the first Dr in Alabama that has listened to me and hasn't assumed I was there to just get some opioid. Not only was he familiar with HITT but he also knew exactly what I needed to have some quality left in this horrible horrible life I have to live now. I seriously don't think I would be here if it wasn't for him.. He listened.. He cared and I would not and will not see any other Dr. for my pain management needs. Its a shame how most Dr.s just treated me and talked to me like I am a drug addict. I am eternally grateful for Dr Jerry Marsella.
